Christoph is a lawyer by training. He studied law at the University of Zurich and in the United States where he specialized in the field of intellectual property law. Upon obtaining his law degree in summer 2006, he worked as a lawyer in the field of intellectual property law for a law and patent law firm in Zurich. After his admission to the bar in Switzerland, he joined Max-Planck-Innovation, the technology transfer agency of the Max-Planck-Society. In his position of Legal Counsel he headed the patent administration and dealt with patent law and employee invention law. Additionally, Christoph advised the Max-Planck-Society in intellectual property matters and drafted, reviewed and negotiated various intellectual property right agreements. Christoph is a Legal Counsel at ETH transfer. He joined the office in September 2010.

Christoph is a member of swiTT (Swiss Technology Transfer Association) and LES (Licensing Executive Society).
