Marjan is a biologist by training and studied at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands). She moved to Zurich in 1993 and obtained her PhD in Biotechnology at ETH Zurich. After her PhD she moved to the industry and built up more than 10 years of experience in product development (Morwell Diagnostics (CH)), project management (DSM Biologics (NL)) and marketing (Tecan and Qiagen (CH)) in the fields of biotechnology and medical- and molecular diagnostics. Marjan is responsible for Business Development activities within the technology transfer group. She joined the office in Aug. 2007.

Marjan is a member of swiTT (Swiss Technology Transfer Association), the ACES (Academic Enterprise Awards) selection committee, the TechConnect Advisory Comittee, the Life Science Zurich - Business Network and the Dutch Business Round Table.
