Welcome to ETH transfer, the technology transfer office of ETH Zurich. We support the ETH community in all questions relating to cooperation with industry, inventions, patent applications and licensing, as well as setting up an ETH spin-off company. We initiate contacts between external bodies (such as companies and public authorities) and research groups at ETH Zurich. In organisational terms, ETH transfer reports directly to the Vice President Research and Corporate Relations of ETH Zurich. We advise within three sections on the following topics:

1. Research Collaborations and Partnerships with Industry

We provide help in finding suitable research partners as well as in the preparation and negotiation of relevant contracts.

2. Inventions, Patents and Licenses

We inform students and staff of ETH Zurich how inventions and computer programs can be protected and commercially exploited. See also our flyer:

3. Spin-off Companies

We support entrepreneurs from ETH Zurich and advise them on taking their first steps towards setting up a company. See also our flyer:
