The performance of ETH Zurich spin-offs

Since the 1990ies, ETH Zurich has been supporting the foundation of companies based on its research results. The objective is to push such research results into marketable products and to create qualified jobs. ETH Zurich was involved in building up the Technopark Zurich, and the courses of  Business Tools have been organized since 1996 and have been attended by 15000 people, in the meantime. Since 1998, ETH Zurich organizes in collaboration with McKinsey&Company, Switzerland, the business plan competition “Venture,” which provides information and networking opportunities for potential entrepreneurs. We work closely together with the federal initiatives CTI-Startup and Venturelab (the latter being organized by the “Institut für Jungunternehmer.”
